Description
Sensory Awareness with Charlotte Selver
Recording and Transcript
Monhegan Island, August 16, 2001
“Do you feel how sensitive and movable your arms are . . . your hands are . . . and your fingers … you permit this movement of your arms and hands as large as you can, one after the other. … Each movement is an event … and fully attended to … wherever you pass by it means business, you are present. You are not pushing your arms around . You allow the movement. … How long can my arm become … how far can I bend … And each moment in- between the movement you are present. … You don’t go empty. … You are fully present.”
This is a recording of an actual Sensory Awareness class, not a lecture. We suggest that you take the time to follow Charlotte’s guidance rather than just listening to the recording. We include a transcript because Charlotte is sometimes hard to understand for people who didn’t know her.
